Corydon Elementary School

CES students will be wrapping up Red Ribbon Week by wearing their Halloween Costumes on 10-31-25. Please no masks, face paint, or props that resemble weapons. We have many young students in the building and we want to keep the annual event "scare-free."

The Girl Scout Meeting scheduled for tonight, 10-28-25 at CES has been canceled. The next meeting will be 11-4-25.

Please note if you have a CES 1st grade student pj day was changed to not conflict with the field trip to Derby Dinner Playhouse. Please see your specific 1st grade teacher's post for clarity.

There will be a meeting for 2nd and 3rd grade girls who are interested in being a part of a new Brownie Troop at CES. The meeting will be on Tuesday, October 21 from 4:30-5:30 in the CES Cafeteria.

Fliers for the Q2 CES PTO VIP parking spots were sent home yesterday. Money may be sent in until Friday, October 17. The drawing will be on 10-17-25.

It is time for the Harrison County fall Hunter Education Class. Any person may take this class regardless of age.

There will be a Hunter Education Class on Saturday, September 20, 2025. The class will be held at the Harrison County Government Center. This is located at 245 Atwood Street, Corydon, Indiana. The class hours are from 8:00 am until approximately 6:00 pm. To pre-register and get more information go to (register-ed.com)

Your school cafeteria will use ground beef from J&A Cattle during the month of Septmber! Join us for school lunch on beef nacho days and celebrate local farmers with us!

☀️South Central JUNE 23 meal distribution CHANGE☀️ South Central Elementary will postpone meal pickups from Monday, June 23 to TUESDAY, JUNE 24 due to construction. Pickup time will be from 10:30am-12:30pm at Door #3. Corydon Intermediate meal pickup will remain on Monday, June 23 from 10:30am-12:30pm. Meals may only be picked up at one location per week. First come, first served. USDA is an equal opportunity provider, employer, and lender.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, May 28th is Field Day at CES. Please make sure your student has the following: A complete change of clothes-there will be water activities and the Office does not have enough clothes for each student. Sunscreen that your student is able to apply. A hat and or glasses are optional.

Bus 21 students will arrive home 15-20 minutes late today 5-22-25.

Ms. Wither's class is the CES Papa John's Night winner for the final month this school year!

Thanks Ms. Stafford for organizing the Tat the Teacher fundraiser at CES! Students purchased temporary tattoos for a teacher of their choice at CES. Students raised almost $400 for the Harrison County Animal Shelter and $400 to help assist lunch accounts.
