  • South Harrison Education Association $300. Future Educator Scholarship

SHEA will offer a $300 scholarship to a graduating senior pursuing a degree in Education.  Please see Ms. Rennirt for information.

  • Hope for Harrison County

This scholarship is offered by our county sheriff and prosecutor and requires students to write an essay describing how your personal experiences have led you to choose a drug-free life and how that decision will impact furthering your education and your future goals.

  • Harrison County Hospital Foundation Scholarship

Criteria:  Student must have plans to complete higher education in a hospital, medical or healthcare related field.

Scholarship is available on Feb 15th  Deadline: April 15th @ 4:00 p.m.  Apply online at  http://hccfindiana.org


  • Richard C. Scott Design Scholarship

Criteria: Must be a Senior at a school in Clark, Floyd, Harrison or Scott County in Indiana.  Applicant should have an interest in pursuing Architecture, Interior Design, Graphic Design, Engineering, or other design related fields.

  • PJ’s College of Cosmetology

$1,000 Scholarship offered for new students who have not previously attended a cosmetology institution.   The application can be picked up from Ms. Rennirt.

  • MAC Construction & Excavating, Inc. Scholarship

MAC Construction is offering scholarships to graduating seniors pursuing a higher education in the construction industry (Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology)

Up to five scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $1,000. per student per year for a maximum of 4 years (up to $4,000)

  • Harrison County REMC $1,000 Scholarship

Applicants parents/guardians must receive service from Harrison County REMC.  Student must also attend college in Clark, Floyd, or Harrison County.

  • Denny Crum University of Louisville Scholarship

University of Louisville Scholarship–awards will be based upon the applicants demonstrated commitment to leadership and community service, academic achievement, volunteer involvement, personal circumstances and an applicant appraisal.

  • Louisville Agriculture Club Scholarships

Criteria: Scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors who enroll in agricultural or agricultural-related curricula at agricultural colleges or universities only in Kentucky or Indiana. Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of scholastic achievement, financial need, leadership, extra-curricular activities, character and citizenship.

  • Beta Chi Chapter of Tri Kappa

Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to students graduating in Harrison County in 2017.

Requirements:  GPA of 3.5 or higher , be accepted to a college or university, have at least 5 hrs of community service, be involved in one school extracurricular activity, complete a one page essay on : How has being involved in community service helped make you a better person?

Deadline:  April 10, 2017

  • James L. Shireman Civics Scholarship Application

Shireman Construction and the Harrison County Republican Party will award one scholarship to a high school senior.  Please see Ms. Rennirt for the application and more details.

Deadline: Fri., April 7th at 5 p.m.



  • Indiana Sherriffs’ Association Scholarship Fund

Applicants must be committed to pursuing a career in a law enforcement field at an Indiana College or University.  Also applicants must be a current member of the Sheriffs’ Association or a dependent child or grandchild of a current member of the association.

  • IMMEP Scholarship (Indiana Mining and Mineral Education Program)

Criteria:  Student must be an Indiana resident who plans to major in : Civil Engineering, Engineering Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geological Science, Mineral Science, Mining Engineering, Certified Welder, Diesel Mechanics or Safety Management

  • Indiana Association of Educational Office Professionals $1,000 Scholarship

Criteria:  Applicant must have taken 2 or more Business courses, must be admitted to a 2 or 4 year college, must have at least a 2.8 grade point average.

  • Business and Professional Women $1,000 Scholarship

Criteria:  Applicant w\must be able to present evidence of need, be accepted to a 2 or 4 year college, have at least a 2.5 GPA.

  • Aspiring Nurse $1,000 Scholarship

Criteria: A track record of academic excellence particularly in science and math and a passion for the nursing profession and the overall field of healthcare.

  • Nancy Jaynes Memorial Scholarship Award (up to $1,500)

Indiana Breast Cancer Awareness is accepting applications from students who has lost a parent to breast cancer or has a parent who is battling breast cancer.

  • Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship

This scholarship offers up to $7,500. for four years for Hoosier students who commit to teaching in Indiana for five years after graduation.

  • Indiana State University Gongaware Scholarship

For students studying insurance and risk management or financial services in the Scott College of Business at Indiana State University. Full in-state tuition plus many other benefits.

Criteria: Students must have 2 of these 3:    3.5 GPA,  rank in the top 15% of their graduating class, achieve a 1070 SAT (combined critical reading and math) or 1140 SAT (Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and Math) or 23 AC
